Merry Christmas deviantART! :santa:

This is my second Christmas on deviantART but my first proper one. Since I created my account some time around December last year, I'm about one year old on deviantART! Yes, I will be holding an anniversary contest soon, after Christmas when it's not too busy.

After a recent poll on what journal skin you preferred, I discovered that the winning vote was a blue/turquoise themed one. Close after that was a Christmas themed one. So, I decided I couldn't neglect either and went for a winter-themed blue and turquoise journal skin. So even though it's not Christmas themed, you could use it for a white Christmas? :la:

This way though, you could always continue using it after Christmas! :w00t:

The first thing that caught my eye was the startling image at the top of the skin. It's so bright, almost colored in with light, that I caught my breath. And then, of course, I had to see it in fullsize.

Blue Bubbles is an astonishing work of art. It captivates the eye and makes the viewer blink. The layout is clear, precise, and easy to read. There's plenty of space to work with, and good blocking for each section. Though the body is a little too solid for my taste, I like the color scheme of translucent white-on-blue, which adds an underwater feel to the skin.

The artist makes up for the solid body by adding a whimsical dash of what looks like frost at the bottom, lightening up the skin in general. A wonderful journal skin, and highly recommended for those who are into relatively monochromatic schemes.
