This is a ~100-Themes-Challenge deviation.

Theme: 31. Flowers

This painting was mainly for a visual arts assignment for school. We had to reproduce two paintings of living things other than humans. This is the first out of two that I've done.

Of course, it looks nowhere near as good as the original but I think I've put a fair amount of effort into it considering we were given less than three weeks to complete three full colour artworks and theory. And it's not like I paint 24/7. :giggle:

Critique would be dearly loved.

The colours in this piece are brilliant! I really like the effort you put into this, especially with the blending and how this is all in watercolour.

I like how you've defined the leaves, but the one at the top feels a bit too... controlled and solid, if that makes sense?

It contrasts with the flowing grace of the flowers, I guess. ^^;
